Inspired by Convention Hall's "Here Comes The Sun" May event campaign, Tessa Perlow's yarn bomb installation at The Market and in the Grand Arcade of Convention Hall will open Friday, May 13 and run through Tuesday, May 31.
ABOUT YARN BOMBING: Yarn bombing is a type of street art/textile graffiti that employs colorful displays of knitted or crocheted yarn. This movement is said to have began in 2005 in Texas with knitters trying to find a creative way to use their leftover and unfinished knitting projects.
ABOUT TESSA PERLOW: Tessa Perlow is an emerging Jersey Shore based artist and recent graduate of FIT in fashion design. Her specialty is in embroidery and re-purposing material and objects. Select pieces of her artwork can be purchased at The Market.
